“ Visited December 2025. Located in Tanukikoji, this restaurant has counter and table seating, as well as a large TV. The yellowtail and daikon radish dishes and the simmered black sea bream were especially delicious. They serve a wide variety of fish and home-style dishes, and the service is excellent. ”

“ Dining with a classmate in Tanukikoji, Sapporo We were seated without a reservation. The restaurant is frequented by regulars, and the hostess is very friendly. We were served a five-piece oden platter and a three-piece sashimi platter, and enjoyed a relaxing drink. ”

“ I visited the restaurant on my own at night. I ordered a sashimi platter, corn tempura, and bitter melon chanpuru. Everything was delicious! Smoking is allowed, so it seems like a good place to come alone. Recommended for a pre-party too. ”

“ I went for lunch just after 2pm, and there was only one other customer at the counter. Last orders were at 2:30pm, so I felt a little sorry, but the waiter welcomed me warmly. I ordered the Atka mackerel set meal (980 yen). The Atka mackerel was large, thick, and delicious! Some other izakayas charge around 1500 yen for the same size at night, so I think this is a very reasonable price. The grated daikon radish served as a side dish was a welcome addition, as some other places don't offer it... Personally, I think grated daikon radish comes with Atka mackerel, but I wonder how it's generally accepted. The rice was cooked to my liking, and the small side dish was lightly seasoned, so I enjoyed it until the very end. If I have the chance, I'd like to come back in the evening. Thank you for the meal! ”

“ I went there for lunch on a Sunday. They have both counter and table seating. Even though it was lunch, 980 yen for this price is a bargain these days! It's surprising how empty it was. I also went there in the evening, and although the food was delicious, it felt a little pricey, so I recommend visiting for lunch. ”

“ [A reasonable lunch with a large grilled fish and a homey atmosphere] [Order] Mackerel Set Meal of the Day - 980 yen [Review] I used to frequent this place a lot when I was working as an office worker near Odori, and I finally returned for lunch! It's located on the east side of Tanukikoji 6-chome, across from the Family Mart. Smoking is allowed at table seats only! The interior has a nostalgic, cozy feel, and it feels like a long-established set meal restaurant. The lunch menu features a variety of fish-focused dishes! I recommend the grilled fish set meal!! The mackerel here is large, typical of Hokkaido, and I personally find it fatty and delicious. The set meal was simple: a small bowl of fish, rice, and miso soup, but the rice was a slightly large portion, so I was satisfied! It was delicious again! Thank you for the meal --- #SusukinoGourmet #HokkaidoGourmet #SapporoGourmet #TanukikojiLunch #SmokingAllowed ”

“ [Traces of Reminiscence] The pleasure of immersing yourself in the fat of a giant Atka mackerel. Recalling the melancholy of snow in the depths of autumn. With a world of white suddenly descending upon me, I craved something quintessentially Hokkaido. With an increasing number of stores closed due to the prolonged state of emergency, Genghis Khan was the only thing I could find that quintessentially Hokkaido. No, no, I told myself. Even though I was familiar with the town, I felt like a wanderer. I didn't dislike it, but my impatience with the passing of time pushed me forward. A red flag swayed in the breeze. A restaurant I'd visited before was advertising lunch. A sign listed four lunch menus, and I was captivated by the "Daily Fish Set Meal with Atka Mackerel as the Main Dishes." When I entered, customers scattered around the restaurant were peacefully eating. "Please take a seat over here," A gentle female staff member guided me. Without even checking the menu, as soon as the tea was brought out I blurted out "The daily fish set meal with Atka mackerel as the main dish," which overlapped with the female staff member's question, "What would you like?" Perhaps I was giving this Atka mackerel, which I hadn't seen in a long time, some kind of special title? Based on my previous eating history, Atka mackerel I'd eaten outside of Hokkaido no longer tasted like Atka mackerel when eaten in Hokkaido. If you'd only ever faced Hokkaido Atka mackerel, the difference was obvious. I stared at the enormous Atka mackerel spilling over the plate. Its special status was obvious, needless to say. I removed the bones in one go and was fascinated by the delicate steam rising from the exposed meat. First I examined the meat itself. The fat was impeccable, and I couldn't help but ask for rice. My philosophy with Atka mackerel is to leave nothing behind except the bones. I mostly eat the flesh as is, and eat the skin with grated daikon radish sprinkled with soy sauce. I make sure not to miss any of the skin, bones, or flesh remaining in the head. Eating Atka mackerel requires a certain level of concentration. It's like a wrestling match. And at the end, I take roll call to make sure there's no flesh left. After I've finished eating, I have another cup of tea. As is typical, I notice that the aroma of the Atka mackerel flesh has permeated my fingers as I lift the bowl. Wiping it off thoroughly with a paper napkin marks an end to my struggle with the Atka mackerel. Then, a certain sensation hit me. A sense of satisfaction after eating? Fatigue at the end of the struggle? Either way, I can be sure that I've completed this season's Atka mackerel in my own way... ”
